Food To Gain Weight
Eating junk food, despite popular belief, will not make you gain weight but it will make you very lethargic and cause you to not do anything. Foods that will help you gain weight are pastas, meats, and milk products. They will also give you fairly good nutrition as you gain weight, because you will be eating the foods on the food pyramid. Eating things like chips, candy, chocolate, and drinking pop are not good for you, and will cause you to either lose weight unhealthily, or gain weight unhealthily. If you want to be in good health and gain weight, you need to eat from the three food groups listed above.
Milk Products
Milk products, although high in fat, are also high in calcium and protein. This makes it a valuable weight gaining food, despite being good for you. If you consume large amounts of milk products, like cheese, then you are giving yourself a good chance at gaining weight, especially when combined with high protein/low fat meats and carb-loaded breads.
Bread Products
Bread products are also great to eat when you are trying to gain weight. They are very high in carbohydrates and will give you the energy you desire to go about your day and then some. They offer a large amount of grains that will give you more energy than you will need, giving you the extra required to put on a little bit of weight.
Pasta
By far the best way to get extra carbs that will be turned into weight gain is by eating pasta. It has an extremely high number of carbohydrates.
Meats
Meats are almost all protein and will give you an enormous amount of calories that can be turned into fat. Eating meat also will keep your muscles from deteriorating once you get bulked up.
On top of just eating differently, you also need to do some weight lifting to increase your body mass. The weight lifting will help you turn the excess calories into muscle instead of just getting transferred to fat. This way, you will have muscle, energy, and the weight you want.
